FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions about USSED items
A few words on USS-ed items…
We provide used items that give you the chance to save some money by doing some of the work yourself, giving up a little on the appearance side and sharing the risk if something goes wrong with the equipment. If you need perfection, an extended warranty or an exact item then we encourage you to purchase new merchandise that will meet your needs. If you want to save some cash while getting some good quality stuff, then call USS and we’ll get you what you need … or something pretty close, or something that isn’t right but will work until we find something else.
Q) Why buy USS-ed equipment?
Used items represent the chance to save substantial money over the cost of new. Whether you are just starting out, a veteran or a food hobbiest, saving money is always good. Used items may also represent a chance to buy better quality products than you could otherwise afford: think used Mercedes vs. new Yugo.
Q) How will the items look?
We make every effort to present clean but not sanitized items. Items are not new and will not look new in most cases. Scratches, dents and imperfections are why these items are cheaper than new ones. If looks are important, you will want to closely examine any item you are considering.
Q)What about the (shelves, pans, faucet, ???)
We will make all efforts to make the unit complete, but there will be times when we do not have the ‘accessories’ to go with a unit. Items will be priced ‘as shown’ and the price will reflect any missing accessories. If you want us to provide new ones, we will, for an added cost.
Q) What is your warranty policy?
All items sold by The USSED Company will be covered by our 30 Day Warranty, unless otherwise stated on the paid Invoice. During the warranty period, at our discretion, The USSED Company will repair the item, replace the item with a similar unit, or refund the purchase price of the item.We strive to make this process easy and effective for all involved, so if you have a problem, call USS first and we will either send a repair technician to you, or advise you to use your preferred provider.
Q) What is your return policy
We charge a 10% restocking fee for items that are returned, refunds are on store credit only.
